Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking or using any services provided by Rella The Houseplant Helper ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Services
Rella The Houseplant Helper provides in-home and in-business houseplant care services in Salt Lake and Utah Counties, Utah, including but not limited to:
- Regular plant maintenance (watering, pruning, monitoring)
- Repotting
- Pest identification and treatment
- Plant sitting during client absences
All services are performed by Rella The Houseplant Helper or authorized representatives. Service details and scope will be agreed upon prior to each visit.
2. Scheduling and Cancellations
We ask that cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee at our discretion. We reserve the right to reschedule visits due to illness, vacation, emergencies, or circumstances outside our control. Advance notice will be provided when possible.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Regular Care Plan: $25/hr plus the cost of any products used.
- On-Demand Visits: $35/hr with a 2-hour minimum, plus the cost of any products used.
- Plant Sitting: Custom quoted based on collection size and duration.
Products (such as soil, plant food, or pest treatments) will be discussed and agreed upon before purchase. Clients may also supply their own products. Payment is due upon completion of each visit unless otherwise arranged.
4. Access to Property
By booking a service, you grant Rella The Houseplant Helper permission to access your home or business premises as arranged for the purpose of providing plant care. You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to all areas where plants are located.
5. Plant Health and Liability
We take great care with every plant we service. However, plants are living organisms and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Rella The Houseplant Helper is not liable for plant decline or loss resulting from:
- Pre-existing conditions or disease present before our visit
- Environmental factors outside our control (temperature, humidity, light)
- Client actions or inactions between scheduled visits
- Natural plant life cycles
In cases where our care is determined to have directly caused damage through negligence, our liability is limited to the fair market value of the affected plant(s).
6. Products and Recommendations
We may recommend or use products during service visits, including Happy Happy House Plant products. All product recommendations are made in good faith based on the needs of your plants. We are not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from products supplied by the client.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information about their plants and any known issues prior to service
- Disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or household restrictions that may affect service
- Provide access to a sink or tub for watering purposes
- Provide reasonable access to supplies storage and plant locations
8. Photography
We may photograph plants before and after service visits for our records and, with your consent, for use on social media or marketing materials. You may opt out of photography at any time by notifying us in writing.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Utah law, Rella The Houseplant Helper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service in question.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
